Thai Massage in Lee’s Summit, MO

A Client Favorite

Thai Massage is deeply rooted within the Eastern Culture of Thailand and India. The basic ethical principles originate in the teachings of Buddhism and are founded in practice with the Four Divine States of Mind: Loving Kindness, Compassion, Vicarious Joy and Equanimity.

Every traditional Thai massage begins with a respectful prayer to the forefathers and teachers of this ancient art form. It is a reverent call for a prayer of healing not only for the client, but for the world.

In Thai massage, the entire body is pushed, pressed, rocked, vibrated and rhythmically compressed by virtually every part of the therapist’s body. Traditionally, it is done on a special floor mat and the client remains completely clothed and no oils are used. However, modifications to the Thai massage can be accommodated to include a table presentation.

Signature Massage has a dedicated Thai Massage room in which clients have the opportunity to experience a 60 minute or 90 minute Thai Massage experience. The basic Thai session will include a series of stretches, holds, rhythmic rocking and accupressure along the Sen (energy) lines. This massage technique is the perfect complement to any exercise and/or physical therapy program aiding increased flexibility and range of motion. The 90 minute session includes a foot bath and tea service while Ellen explains the history of Thai Massage. The costs for Thai Massage are $65 for a 60 minute session or $90 for a 90 minute session.
